So today I realized one thing. One quite important thing. Well, let's start from the beginning...
I've been putting off posting things here because my usual lamp setup for photographing my drawings hasn't been available to me (and also laziness). Turns out the bright summer sun has a use after all; it's almost like some kind of lamp up there or something, and it's a pretty decent setup for taking evenly lighted pictures.
That's the thing I realized.
Expect pictures to be up in some hours or so.

Okay, maybe not the worst worst, but it's certainly one of them. It is so goddarn sunny outside! Like, seriously, shouldn't the sun be one of those always overwhelmingly good things to see when you live at 59 degrees north of the equator but noooope it's really something that's out to get you. It never disappears! Like, sunsets you'd expect to take at most a few hours, but this here is pretty much a constant sunset! Okay, that might be overdoing it, there are sunrises as well, noon and that 2-hour long period from 00:00 to 02:00 where the sun is technically below the horizon but still pretty much lights up the sky all the way. In other words, it's a constant goddarn day. It's a powerful sleep-killer, if you ask me. And you should, because I have been for the last few weeks and am expecting to for at least as many coming weeks, been sleeping horribly bad. Like, ech bad. Add to that three solid weeks of pretty much no rain and me being too lazy to drink water (because going to the toilet takes time) and the severity of the situation should be clear as day. A joke, as the days are constant and yesterday was the first time in 3 weeks that I saw a cloud.

Eeeh, luckily, I'm as lazy with putting up things directly after I draw them, so I have a backlog.

Okay, so this unrelated to deviantart and unrelevant for 99.9% of all people and a rant so you don't have to read this.
I just want to say how much I hate apple. Like, those damned fruit bastards! Cussing aside, they really are mediocre.

The thing is, one would believe such a big company should have enough money to hire someone with enough common courtesy and common sense to name the photos taken in iOS devices YYYY-MM-DD-XXXX with the XXXX being an individual count counting up and resetting each day. (So that for the first photo, or video for that matter, of each day XXXX == 0000). It'd allow for 10000 pictures taken each day, which I am sure is more than they have room for in total, so it's a pretty darn solid.
Add a few symbols for the devices' serial ID, that already exist and are easily accessible by the way, and you won't have to deal with any photos from other devices mixing in and overwriting your existing ones. In other words, a fool-safe naming system.

Now, as they don't have that and instead name the pictures I-don't-know-how it all becomes a mess in your folders whenever you inevitably want to upload them to a device with a not-miniscule amount of storage. And to top it off it's needlessly complicated and they make you believe you need that absolutely crappy and buggy itunes thing and maybe also use one of Microsoft's almost-equally-crappy-but-still-much-much-better inbuilt photo program to transfer them and it all is crappy and goddamn why can't they just have some decent common sense.

Rant over. 

So last month I got myself a month-long core membership, because there was some kind of core sale or something.
After getting core I discovered that it didn’t do much I was interested in. Weird, I thought, didn’t I get this partially because there was some feature I was really curious about that was locked behind core?
And so the core expires, and only a few days later I go to check my statistics, only to realize that was the feature I had had in mind when getting core, but I totally forgot about it...
